사설안내표지는 공공시설, 공용시설, 관광·휴양시설 등을 안내하는 도로변 안내시설이다. 국토교통부는 사설안내표지 설치 및 관리지침을 제정하여, 지자체와 도로관리청에서 관리하도록 규정하고 있으나, 이 지침에서는 구체적 설계 규정이 존재하지 않고, 도로관리청의 자율권한을 부여하여 사설안내표지 설치방법과 표시방식은 지역마다 차이가 발생한다. 또한 최소한의 규정조차 지키지 않고 설치된 사설안내표지들로 인하여 공공정보의 위계가 무너져, 도로변의 정보인지 환경은 복잡성이 증가되었고, 경관이 훼손되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 국토전체의 공공정보위계 확립을 위한 통합형 도로안내시설로의 표준디자인 개발과 정책 보완을 개선 방향으로 제시하였으며, 연구 결과 첫째로, 도로변 경관 개선이 가능함을, 둘째로 종합적 길 안내 체계로 개선이 필요함을, 셋째로 공공정보 우선의 정책이 뒷받침 되어야 함을, 마지막으로 도로이용환경 변화를 반영하는 규정이 필요한 것으로 요약되었다, Private Information Signs are part of the Road Information System that guides public facilities, tourism and recreation facilities. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has established guidelines for the installation and management of private information signs, but the guidelines do not have specific design regulations and give autonomous authority to the road management office, so the method of installing and displaying Private Information Signs varies by region. In addition, the hierarchy of Public Information has collapsed due to illegal Private Information Signs, increasing complexity and damaging the landscape. Therefore, this study suggested the development of a standard design as an integrated road guide facility and policy supplementation to establish a public information hierarchy across the country as an improvement direction. As a result of the study, first, it was possible to improve the roadside landscape, and second, a comprehensive road guidance system. It was summarized that improvement is necessary, thirdly, policies that prioritize public information must be supported, and finally, regulations reflecting changes in road use environment are necessary.
